Growth: Slow, 10-20 cm per year. Reaches about 40 cm tall, with striking green-and-yellow leaves.
Fun Facts: Stores water in its leaves. Air-cleaning champ: formaldehyde, benzene – no problem. With luck, it might even bloom in old age.
Toxicity: Handle with care, mildly toxic. Contains saponins, which can cause mouth irritation, vomiting, or diarrhea if ingested. Keep out of reach of kids and pets.
